I’ve been using Pinterest since you had to invite/be invited to the community. I’ve used it for party inspiration, wedding ideas, baby showers, home projects, etc. The AI slop and Ads are out of control, and just another example of a great platform selling out.

10/10 do not recommend.

Used to love this app but now my feed feels like it’s 75% ads and shows me AI content despite me utilizing the settings that are supposed to reduce the AI generated content in my feed. This has significantly cut down on the time I spend on the app and look for alternative options.

It has changed my life

This is my suggestion: when organizing boards, can you make it so the pins in gif/video form don’t pause? I organize my boards by pictures versus gifs/videos and it’s annoying because I can’t tell which are which. Also, I need help because THOUSANDS of pins disappeared from one of my boards, and I keep contacting Pinterest but no one is helping me (they keep closing my case). Communication is very poor. Lastly, I can’t access my violations page because it keeps glitching me out

I love Pinterest; I’ve been using this app since 2007 on an itouch. It is impossible to find good ideas and inspiration now because everything is an ad. I just searched “staircase gallery wall” and there were 25 ADS in a row before I came to any creator/user generated content. They take up the entire screen for long stretches. What’s worse, most of the ads are video so my brain is always fighting attention. It’s exhausting. And if it’s not ads, it’s AI and garbage AI generated websites. Pinterest needs to learn how to filter out bad ads, bad publishers, and place a cap on how many times a user can see an ad within a certain amount of time or screen space just like other sites do.
