You've been handed the keys to a two-gate airfield. Planes are already landing.
Airport Director is a real-time management game. Nothing waits for you: flights arrive on schedule, passengers stream through check-in and security, cash comes in with every landing, and problems turn up when you least want them.
GROW THE AIRPORT
Thirty-one upgrades, from a second check-in desk to a third runway. Add gates, extend the runway, open a cargo terminal, build shops, a food court, lounges, a parking garage and a hotel. Every one of them shows up on the map.
SIGN AIRLINES
Eleven fictional carriers, from turboprop puddle-jumpers to long-haul widebodies. Each wants the right runway, the right gate size and a reputation to match, and each commits more flights as you earn it. Route offers arrive for the cities you can actually serve.
KEEP IT MOVING
Check-in desks, security lanes, baggage belts and immigration halls all have limits. Let a queue build and reputation slides, and airlines notice. Staff every post, train your crews, promote department heads, or watch the terminal slow to a crawl.
HANDLE THE TROUBLE
Fog, storms, snow, bird strikes, scanner failures, medical emergencies, inspectors, strikes, drone sightings. Thirty-two kinds of issue, each with a real decision and a real cost. The airport pauses until you choose.
RUN IT LIKE A BUSINESS
Set landing fees and retail prices and live with the result. Take a loan when you need one. Watch the daily run rate, the cash curve and the passenger graph climb.
CLIMB THE TIERS
Regional airfield, regional airport, national, international, global hub. Twenty-three milestones along the way, and a rename when you reach the top.
