Valve peak view: the 24-hour peak Valve reports on its own Top 100 chart, one reading per collection day since Zing began recording it (dated by when it was recorded). Available only for games currently in the Top 100; it's a single reading per day, so it can differ from the daily peaks above.
Daily view: the highest hourly sample each day (purple), plus the older once-a-day readings (dashed orange) from before hourly sampling began. The older readings were taken at one fixed time of day, so they sit below the true daily peak and aren't directly comparable.
Sampled hourly by Zing from Steam's public player-count API (11 days tracked). Peaks are the highest hourly sample, so a brief spike between samples can be slightly higher; times are UTC.
